- or a Ferry (WE DONT OFFER THIS GROUP OPTION)

what are The Locks?
The locks are the chambers were we raise or lower all the ships transiting through our famous Panama Canal.
Basically, is were you see how the Canal operates, live, from a balcony.
If you are in Panama City the closest Lock would be Miraflores Visitors Center.
If wish to see the bigger and more modern locks, you go to the new ones on the Atlantic side called: Clearwater (1 hr away each way).
What do you see at the locks?
You go to a deck, a viewpoint located on a building, normally crowded and witness first hand, how the huge vessels are lowered or raised depending on the direction they are coming from.
If you are lucky, the ship passing through will be on the inside lane and you will have it in front of your eyes. It is pretty cool!
The Visitors Center of Miraflores, after COVID, no longer has a museum and instead has now a phenomenal 3D Movie.
The Miraflores Locks (Pacific side) have one of the largest IMAX screens in the world and the new movie in 3D narrated by Morgan Freeman is terrific.
Normally the visit to the Miraflores Locks is combined with Monkey Boat search tour.
.
You may take 1 to 3 hours there seeing the action and the movie
Advise for morning visitors: Arrive before 8:30 am to ensure you will see ships.
Advise for evening visitors: Be there by 1 pm.

A Private Boat at the Panama Canal Lake & search for monkeys
This is one the most requested experiences.
Why? This experience takes you to different islands on the Panama Canal's artificial lake and we keep our eye open and look for monkeys, crocs and birds.
This is the coolest way to learn about one of the engineering marvels of the world and our pride: Our Panama Canal, kosher style.

Fantawesome!
The amazing Neo Panamax ships we see are humongous and we get as close as possible always making sure is safe.
This tour starts the moment we pick you up at the hotel and we drive over to the National Park Soberania. Then, we get on a private boat, we provide the lifevests and take you on a beautiful and relaxing ride on the Panama Canal's Gatun Lake and search for wildlife.
The panamanian rainforest is gorgeaus and if we are lucky we may spot howler monkeys famous for their supersized vocal cords and loud sounds. The jewish monkey, yes, the one that looks like is wearing a kipa is around most of the time and is fun to see those.
We can't guarantee seeing wild animals because "it is wild life" but we promise to do our very best to find them.

Partial or Full transit through the Panama Canal
THIS IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY AND WE DO NOT OFFER NEITHER THIS OPTION NOR ADVICE
This is a once in a lifetime experience that would allow you to witness how to Panama Canal operates. It is is the ultimate dream for those wanting to go through the Panama Canal Locks.
This option is only available Friday, Saturdays and 1 Sunday per month.
Important: This is a group tour with many more guests on a ferry
The Panama Canal partial transit tour begins with the ferry entering the Miraflores Locks where the vessel is raised 16 meters above sea level in two distinct steps. You will then enter Miraflores Lake, which is a small artificial body of fresh water that separates Miraflores from Pedro Miguel Locks. Next, it will enter Pedro Miguel Locks, which is the second set of locks on the Pacific side, and here the vessel is raised again, in one step. After exiting the Pedro Miguel Locks, you will be able to view the new Centennial Bridge which crosses over the Canal.
You will then enter the south end of the Gailard Cut where the Chagres River flows into the Canal. The Gailard Cut (also known as Culebra Cut because its curves resemble a snake) is one of the main points of interest for visitors because it was carved through the Continental Divide and this section of the Canal is full of history and geological value.
You will disembark at the Gamboa Dredging Division where you will board motor coaches for a 45-minute ride back to the Flamenco Marina.
Keep in mind, the starting time is confirmed in the evening of the day before your tour depending upon the schedule of the Ships passing through the Canal (we have no way to know it before).
To reserve this tour your request must be processed at least one week prior to your arrival and full payment plus taxes is required.
Duration:
- Partial 5-6 hours
- Full 8-10 hours
What is included?
Private transportation from and to Marina/Hotel
