Our country is known worldwide because our famous and amazing Panama Canal, of course. It is a must see.
However, Panama is much more than the short cut between the Atlantic and the Pacific Ocean. Panama is home of indigenous people, fantastic crystal clear caribbean waters, breathtaking mountain views, waterfalls, more than 500 different bird species, a diverse fauna and melting pot of races.
In one day you can see both oceans. In less than 2 hours you can be on top of a hill at the perfect temperature. In less than 2 hours you can be in the middle of the rainforest. This is Panama.
Don't worry about the weather or traffic. Just relax and enjoy the day as it comes. Sunny and rainy days have their own magic in Panama.

To enjoy Colon, I have to take you personally because this is a personal affair. Colon, despite what many people say, is worth visiting. Colon is the home of UNESCO historic sites such as Portobelo and San Lorenzo, black people who arrived in Panama for the railroad construction and then The Panama Canal. Colon is home of The Black Christ, church delicious food made with coconut milk, a tranquil ride along the crystal clear caribbean waters and more. During weekdays is better to avoid crowds at the beaches and if you are lucky you may find a solitary paradise.
